School Caretaker – Part-Time (Ripley, DE5 3SE)

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to support a school site in Ripley (DE5 3SE).

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 7:30am
  • Total: 7.5 hours per week

About the Role:
As a caretaker, you will play a key role in ensuring the school is safe, secure, and ready for staff and pupils each day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Unlocking the school and preparing the site for the day
  • Carrying out compliance checks, including:
    • Fire alarm testing
    • Emergency lighting checks
    • Legionella testing
  • Completing general health and safety checks
  • Outdoor maintenance such as leaf blowing and litter picking
  • Carrying out minor repairs (e.g. basic plumbing, erecting notice boards)
