Job Description:

Part-Time Nursery Cleaner

Location: Nursery setting
Hours: 7.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Part-Time Cleaner to join our team at a busy nursery.

You will play an important role in ensuring the nursery is clean, fresh and welcoming, ready to greet children, parents and staff each morning.

Working after nursery hours, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout designated areas of the nursery, helping to provide a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for children to play, learn and develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning designated nursery rooms and communal areas to a consistently high standard.
  • Cleaning floors, surfaces, toilets and washroom facilities.
  • Ensuring all areas are hygienic, fresh and ready for the following morning.
  • Following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures.
  • Using cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous cleaning experience (preferably within a nursery, school or similar environment).
  • Takes pride in their work and has excellent attention to detail.
  • Is reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently.
  • Understands the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in a childcare environment.
  • Holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate or is eligible to obtain one.
