Part-Time School Cleaner – Nursery / Infant School

Location: DE23 8PN
Hours: 15 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Term Time Only – 38 weeks per year

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Part-Time Cleaner to join our friendly cleaning team at a newly modernised nursery/infant school in the DE23 area.

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for maintaining your own designated cleaning area, ensuring classrooms, offices and other school facilities are kept clean, hygienic and presentable to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning classrooms, offices and designated areas of the school.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout your allocated area.
  • Working effectively as part of a friendly and supportive cleaning team.
  • Following cleaning schedules and health and safety procedures.
  • Ensuring all cleaning equipment and materials are used correctly and stored safely.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
  • A reliable, hardworking and conscientious approach.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.

Important Requirement:

Applicants must be eligible to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, as the role involves working within a school environment.

What We Offer:

  • 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Consistent afternoon working hours, 3pm–6pm.
  • Term-time-only working (38 weeks per year).
