Objectives

  • To look after the operational needs of the customers to ensure they remain satisfied with all aspects of the cleaning operation
  • To actively seek opportunities to upsell to both existing customers and identify new client prospects
  • To ensure your cleaning operatives are fully trained motivated and flexible to meet the needs of the customers
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of cleaning staff and others affected by our operation

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Recruit the best possible cleaning staff ensuring correct employment procedures are followed at all times
  • Treat all staff vacancies as a priority
  • Ensure that all cleaners are fully trained, including all relevant Health and Safety rules
  • Ensure all cleaners are fully conversant with any customer on site rules and regulations
  • Ensure all on site documentation remains upto date
  • Maintain optimum levels of cleaning materials on site and ensure all equipment used is fit for purpose
  • Liaise with new customers before contract commencement to update yourself with all aspects of the clean and the clients wishes and expectations
  • Monitor all new contracts and cleaners until they are operating effectively
  • Plan and undertake site inspection visits in line with company frequency to ensure sites meet the company and customers standards of cleanliness and satisfaction
  • Maintain an effective relationship with customers at all times
  • Treat all customer complaints as a priority thinking through the issues to find long term solutions whist keeping the customer upto date throughout the process
  • Visit all cleaners regularly to check on their standards, training and welfare needs
  • Maintain a flexible cleaning team who are prepared to undertake additional work as required
  • Maintain effective communication with line management updating them with priorities, issues, proposed solutions and progress
  • Undertake potential staff disciplinary investigations and stages of the disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure you remain upto date with your own training and development needs
  • Proactively discuss selling opportunities with existing customers to supply additional services e.g. consumables, window and carpet cleaning
  • Identify and visit prospective customers to seek potential new business
  • Look for opportunities with existing customers to supply testimonials and referrals for new business
  • Provide news items suitable to help maintain a dynamic website
  • To undertake cleaning duties as required
  • To undertake other duties as appropriate requested by line management
