Job Description – Mobile Cleaner
Job Overview We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking mobile Cleaner to join our team in the Stowmarket area. This is a part-time role offering 20 hours per week with travel time paid. The position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis for the right candidate, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
•
Perform a wide range of general cleaning duties including dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins, and sanitising frequently touched areas such as door handles, desks, worktops, and light switches. Carry out regular deep cleaning tasks to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Clean and maintain a variety of environments including offices, schools, doctors’ surgeries, dental practices, and communal areas. Ensure all spaces are cleaned thoroughly and presented to a professional standard suitable for staff, visitors, and the public.

Use cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring the correct products are used for different surfaces and environments. Store all cleaning materials securely and in accordance with company guidelines to maintain safety and prevent misuse.

Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and procedures, including the correct handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of cleaning machinery where applicable.
•
Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, or potential hazards (such as spillages, broken fixtures, or faulty equipment) to the supervisor promptly to ensure a safe environment for all building users.
•
Travel between multiple sites within the Stowmarket area as required, managing time effectively to ensure all assigned locations are cleaned to the expected standard within scheduled timeframes.
•
Maintain professionalism and reliability while on client premises, respecting confidentiality, following site-specific procedures, and ensuring minimal disruption to staff, patients, students, or visitors.

Requirements
•
Previous cleaning experience in commercial, residential, or industrial environments is preferred but not essential, as full training may be provided. Candidates should have a basic understanding of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe use of cleaning products.
•
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. As a mobile cleaner, you will often work alone across different sites, so it is important to plan tasks efficiently and complete duties within allocated timeframes without direct supervision.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness. The role requires maintaining excellent hygiene and presentation standards, ensuring all areas are cleaned thoroughly and consistently.
•
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Candidates must be dependable, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and demonstrate a responsible and professional attitude towards work and client premises.

•
Willingness and flexibility to travel between multiple local sites. This role involves moving between different locations during a shift, so candidates should be comfortable travelling locally and adapting to different environments.
•
Good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions, report issues to supervisors, and interact professionally with clients or site staff when necessary.
•
Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting light equipment, and carrying cleaning supplies between locations.
